The Mayor of New York City since 2022, Eric Adams, doesn’t have a wife but has a domestic partner, Tracey Collins.
Eric Adams, a former police officer, was born to her parents, Leory Adams and Dorothy Mae, on September 1, 1960.
His parents moved to the U.S. in 1950 and struggled to have a stable home.
His mother, Dorothy Mae, was a hard worker and used to take double housecleaning shifts to support the family, while her father, Leory Adams, was a butcher.
They were so poor that Eric used to carry a bag full of clothes to school in case they got evicted from their house.
With the motive to decrease the abuse he faced from the NYPD while he was young, Eric wanted to be a Police Officer.
Moreover, he graduated from the New York Police Academy in 1984, holding second place in his class.
After completion started out as an officer in the New York City Police Department for 22 years.
Around the 1990s, Eric Adams was more interested in the political world and showed his interest in becoming mayor from the very beginning.
Before finally succeeding in becoming a Mayor in 2022, Eric served in a New York State Senate from 2007 to 2013.

Eric Adams has a 29-year-old son named Jordan Coleman with Chrisena.
Chrisena and Adams used to date way back and decided to go separate ways after several years of togetherness.
They welcomed Jordan Coleman in 1995. Even after Chrisena and Eric’s separation, Eric is very close to both his parents.
Jordan Coleman is an aspiring passionate rapper and goes by the name ‘Jayoo.’
Besides that, he also pursued an acting career, starting in Nickelodeon’s The Backyardigans in 2006 as an 11-year-old.
Previously, Coleman directed the documentary, “Say It Loud.” Later, in 2011, he wrote and directed “Payin’ The Price.”
