After being secretive about their relationship for about a year, the couple made it official around March 2023 by appearing on the Vanity Fair’s exclusive Oscar Party.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II was born on July 15, 1986, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to parents Yahya Abdul-Mateen I and Mary. His father was Muslim, whereas his mother was Christian.
His parents gave birth to a total of six children, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II was the youngest of them all.
He, along with his five siblings, was raised in the Magnolia project, now named Harmony Oaks, for most of his childhood.
Later, they moved to Oakland, California. In Oakland, he attended McClymonds High School.
