Stacey’s mother was in her teens when she gave birth to her, and in her book “There Goes My Social Life,” the actress recounts her parents’ battles with drug addiction, which affected her upbringing.

In her memoir, she recounted an incident that took place when she was just a toddler. Stacey found herself trapped within a household that had a teenage son who lured her to go into his room and sexually abused her.

She came to know about her parents’ drug addiction at the age of 12, remembering vividly how her father struck her for discarding his drugs in the woods.

Dennis, her father, passed away after enduring a lengthy struggle with drug addiction. Linda then encountered Cecil Holmes, a record executive, who eventually became her second husband and Stacey’s stepfather.

Dash's younger brother, Darien Dash, is the founder of DME Interactive, recognized as the first publicly traded African-American-led website company.

Her mother, Linda, passed away in November 2017 due to addiction. Stacey shared the heartbreaking news through her Twitter account, where she wrote about her loss.

Stacey Dash, blessed with two children, has been involved in various marriages and relationships. Her son Austin was born in 1991 during her relationship with singer Christopher Williams; however, Stacey and Christopher separated in 1992.

Stacey then commenced her relationship with Brian Lovell in January 1999, eventually tying the knot with the producer on July 16, 1999. They welcomed their daughter Lola in 2003, but their marriage ended in divorce in 2005.

While still married to Brian Lovell, Stacey began dating James Maby. Later, she married British executive James Maby, CEO of Sports Logistics, from 2005 to 2006.

Emmanuel Xuereb, an actor, became Stacey Dash’s third husband on July 7, 2007. Their marriage ended when she filed for divorce in January 2010, which was later finalized in September 2011.

Dash married lawyer Jeffrey Marty in Florida on April 6, 2018, after meeting him ten days before the wedding. Embracing the role of stepmother, Dash became responsible for three of Marty’s kids alongside her own two children.

In April 2020, she made public regarding their separation announcing that she and Marty had parted ways. Subsequently, in June 2020, she initiated divorce proceedings.

Dash has remained dedicated to her role as a mother to Austin and Lola, navigating the complexities of family life amidst her career and personal challenges.
