Jack Teixeira lived with his mother, Dawn, and his stepfather, Thomas Dudault, after his biological parents’ divorce.
Jack Teixeira is an American airman stationed at the 102nd Intelligence Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard.
Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in September 2019 as a Cyber Transport Systems journeyman in the 102nd Intelligence Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard.
On 13 April 2023, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) took Teixeira into custody at his residence, following allegations of his involvement in leaking highly sensitive documents online.
Documents leaked on Discord, Twitter, and Telegram contain sensitive information about the United States’ aid to Ukraine during its conflict with Russia.
The documents provide insight into the US and NATO’s plans to aid Ukraine in preparation for a spring offensive against Russia, and they suggest that China has deployed a hypersonic missile capable of speeds up to 6,500mph, which could challenge US defense systems.
On April 27, 2023, it was announced that Jack Teixeira’s detention would persist under authorities’ oversight.

Jack Teixeira Parents: Mother Dawn & Step Father Thomas Dudault
Jack Teixeira was born in December 2001 and was raised in Dighton, Massachusetts, USA by his divorced parents.
Jack Michael Teixeira, Jack’s biological father, is shrouded in mystery, with little known about him. It is believed that he parted ways with his ex-wife, Dawn, Jack’s mother when Jack was young.
Following the divorce, Dawn entered into marriage with Thomas Dudault, Jack’s stepfather. The duration of Dawn and Thomas’s marriage is not immediately evident.
Thomas Dudault is a retired master sergeant who served in the United States Air Force, retiring from military service in 2019.
With a 34-year military career as a Master Sergeant in the 102nd Intelligence Wing, Thomas served alongside his son and retired with a ceremony at Joint Base Cape Cod.
Thomas is listed as holding licenses in piloting, mechanics, and real estate, as per online records.
Jack’s mother, Dawn Dufault, held a position at a non-profit organization focused on assisting military veterans.
In addition to being the owner and head grower of Bayberry Farm & Flower Company, a business she established in 2017, Dawn also conducts free flower-arranging workshops.
Dawn frequently utilized her flower shop’s Facebook page to celebrate her son’s accomplishments and share images of her military family members on Veterans Day.
Since 2017, she has been actively involved in volunteering as a pollinator garden restorer, contributing to the identification and recording of native plants.
She contributes to marketing efforts at Under the Sun Farm, a local produce stand, while also working with organizations such as the Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund, Home For Our Troops, and briefly with the Massachusetts Department of Veterans Services.
There is no confirmation regarding Jack’s siblings due to the absence of information.
He is known to reside at home with his mother and stepfather in North Dighton, east of Providence, Rhode Island.
Jack traces his ancestry to Portugal; his grandfather migrated to the United States from São Miguel Island, situated in the Azores.
Having completed his studies at Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School in 2020, he couldn't participate in his graduation ceremony due to his attendance at United States Air Force Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.
The arrest of Jack for allegedly leaking highly sensitive intelligence records online appears to go against his family’s proud tradition of military service and strong patriotic beliefs.
