Demi Moore Parents
Demi Moore was born to her parents, Charles Foster Harmon Sr. and Virginia, on November 11, 1962. Her Air Force airman father and a homemaker mother were married in February 1963.
Unfortunately, after only 2 months of marriage, the father of the Ghost star left her 18-year-old pregnant mother before she gave birth.
When she was three months old, Moore’s mom married Dan Guynes, a newspaper advertising salesman known for his job changes, leading to numerous relocations for the family.
Later, Moore alongside her mother and stepfather, Dan, welcomed her half-brother, Morgan. Moore mentioned in 19s91:
While Moore has half-siblings from her father, Charlie Harmon’s other marriages, she doesn’t stay in touch with them. Her half-siblings are James Craig Harmon, Charlotte Harmon Eggar, and Charles Harmon Jr.
After marrying and divorcing Virginia twice, Moore’s stepfather, Dan Guynes, died by suicide on October 20, 1980, a year after their second divorce from each other.
Her mum posed nude for the magazine High Society in 1993, where she parodied Moore’s Vanity Fair pregnancy, body paint covers, and her clay scene from Ghost. Moore and Guynes reconciled shortly before Guynes died of a brain tumor on July 2, 1998.
Her biological father, Harmon, died in 1997 from liver cancer in Brazoria, Texas, while her mother, Virginia, also passed away from cancer at the age of 54.
Her maternal grandmother was raised on a farm in Elida, New Mexico. Moore’s roots are deeply intertwined with the South Central and Southern United States, particularly in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Georgia.
Moore was born cross-eyed and later underwent surgery to correct the condition. Additionally, she struggled with kidney dysfunction.
