His older brothers, Daniel De Los Reyes and Walferdo Reyes Jr. showered him with affection, making him the most pampered in the family. Kamar shared a close bond with both of his siblings.

Growing up together in Las Vegas, Nevada, the trio of brothers spent their childhood playing in their backyard, creating lasting memories.

One of his brothers Daniel de los Reyes, born July 18, 1962, is an American percussionist who was previously a member of Earth, Wind & Fire, and Chicago. Currently, he is a member of the Zac Brown Band.

Likewise, his other sibling, Walfredo Reyes Jr., was born on December 18, 1955, and is a musician and drummer.

He is currently a member of the band Chicago and has previously played with groups such as Santana and Nazareth.

Kamar de los Reyes Death: What Happened to him?

Kamar de los Reyes, aged 56, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Christmas Eve in Los Angeles.

Survived by his wife Sherri Saum, whom he married in 2007 and co-starred with on One Life to Live, he leaves behind 9-year-old twins John and Michael, as well as his 26-year-old son Caylen from a previous relationship.

Kamar is also survived by his parents, Matilde and Walfredo, and four siblings: Daniel, Walfredo Jr., Lily, and Ilde.

Until his passing, Kamar was working on The CW’s All American, portraying Coach Montes of Coastal California University. Additionally, Kamar had a role in the upcoming Daredevil series by Marvel.

The show’s showrunner, Nkechi Okoro Carroll, expressed deep sorrow over Kamar’s loss, emphasizing his positive impact on the set and the joy he brought, even during his final days.

Carroll stated in a message to Deadline,

“We are absolutely devastated at the loss of Kamar,” He was such a beloved member of our All American family. He brought so much love, light and joy to the set every day, even during his final days. We are so grateful for every moment he spent with us. Our hearts and sincere condolences are with Sherri, Caylen, Michael, John and the rest of Kamar’s family. Thank you for sharing him so generously with us and with the rest of the world. He truly was a gift. One we will cherish forever.”

His family and fans will remember his impact on both stage and screen and the entertainment industry for years to come.
