An accused stalker from Seattle, David Crowe, was apprehended outside Taylor Swift’s residence on Monday.
This incident occurred merely two days after he was detained for loitering near the megastar’s New York City home, according to police and law enforcement sources.
Described as having an unkempt beard and long brown hair, Crowe was observed wandering around the “Shake It Off” singer’s home. He reportedly approached people, inquiring about Swift’s residence.
This isn’t the first instance of Taylor Swift being targeted by a stalker.
In 2022, a Brooklyn man named Joshua Christian, accused of stalking the singer at her Tribeca residence and across multiple states, was arrested.
Subsequently, he was issued an order to stay away from Taylor Swift.
Who Is David Crowe? 33-Year-Old Taylor Swift Stalker
A member of Taylor Swift‘s security team alerted patrolling police officers to an unsettling situation, as David Crowe, 33, was allegedly harassing multiple people near the singer’s residence, according to sources and the NYPD.
Following the officers’ intervention, Crowe was arrested and taken to the 1st Precinct station in Lower Manhattan.
He now faces charges of two counts each of harassment and stalking, as reported by the police.
Despite not attempting to break into Swift’s home, Crowe’s lingering presence outside raised concerns.
Sources suggest that he is believed to be emotionally disturbed.
Footage obtained by The Post depicts Crowe, handcuffed with his hands behind his back, alongside at least two uniformed officers.
Authorities were seen trying to escort him into the back of an NYPD vehicle.
While Taylor Swift was away in Buffalo for her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s NFL playoff game, she returned to the city on Monday.
The alleged perpetrator was spotted around 3 p.m. near her home, prompting a police response about three hours later, according to a source.
Arrested & Charged
The recent arrest of David Crowe occurred just two days after he was initially apprehended by police in response to a call about a “disorderly person” on Franklin Street, as previously reported by Page Six.
During the first encounter on Saturday, Crowe was taken into custody for failure to answer a summons dating back to 2015, according to information provided by the NYPD to Page Six.
A source had previously informed Page Six on Saturday that they had observed Crowe walking around the neighborhood, particularly in the vicinity of Taylor Swift’s residence, for a few weeks.
This raises concerns about his sustained presence in the area.
It’s Not New For Taylor
In July 2022, Joshua Christian, a 35-year-old resident of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with stalking and criminal trespass after allegedly pursuing Taylor Swift at her Tribeca home and across multiple states, according to the NYPD.
The incident unfolded when Christian visited Swift’s Franklin Street properties in March.
On March 26, he allegedly entered 153 Franklin St. through an unlocked door and unlawfully remained on the premises.
Security confronted him, leading to his hasty departure from the property, which includes Swift’s $18 million townhouse.
In response to these actions, Judge Eric Schumacher issued a comprehensive order of protection, mandating that Christian stay away from the “Shake It Off” songstress.
Taylor Swift, known for being a repeated target of stalkers, has once again faced an unsettling situation.
Although Schumacher set bail at $1 for the case, Christian was sent to jail without bail due to fleeing a reckless driving charge in Florida.
During the proceedings, Christian, adorned in a white shirt, white pants, and black shoes, with flowing long brown hair, began ranting about his Legal Aid lawyer.
