Rory Feek has entered into a romantic relationship with Rebecca, a teacher he’s been acquainted with for approximately five years.
Rebecca has been involved in his daughter Indiana’s (Indy) education, teaching her and a group of other children at the one-room schoolhouse situated on the Feek property.
While their interaction had been peripheral initially, over the past year, Feek shared in a blog post that they have started spending more time together, leading to the blossoming of love between them.
Feek expressed that as time passed and he and his daughter Indy spent more time with Rebecca, her significance in their lives grew exponentially.
He admitted that the development of their relationship unfolded in a way he hadn’t quite anticipated, but it brought love back into his life.
Highlighting the paramount importance of Indy’s well-being and happiness, Feek emphasized that any potential partner must be capable of loving and caring for his daughter.
Indy, who recently turned 10, tragically lost her mother when she was just two years old in March 2016.
Since then, she has never truly experienced a mother’s love. However, Rebecca’s role as Indy’s teacher showcased her innate love and care for children, and her understanding of the Feek family’s unique circumstances further solidified her place in their lives.
Feek revealed that despite Rebecca’s previous marriage, she had never been blessed with the gift of children.
When she applied to work at the schoolhouse, Feek harbored a hope that perhaps in some way, the children she would teach could fill the void in her life and heart that yearned for her own children.
Furthermore, Feek shared the somber reality that cancer, the same illness that tragically took Joey’s life, has also touched the lives of those close to Rebecca.
He disclosed that Rebecca had cared for and ultimately lost both her sister and her mother to this devastating disease, adding another layer of understanding and empathy to their shared experiences.

Feek’s marital history spans two significant relationships. He first married Tamara Gilmer on August 3, 1985, but their marriage ended in divorce on March 25, 1992.
In 2002, he found love again and married Joey Feek, with whom he formed the beloved duo Joey + Rory.
Together, they welcomed their daughter, Indiana Boone, into the world on February 17, 2014. Indiana was born with Down syndrome, adding a unique dimension to their family.
From his previous marriage to Tamara Gilmer, Feek has two older daughters named Heidi Feek, born in 1986, and Hopie Feek, born in 1988.
