On January 10, 2024, Suarez was hospitalized following a severe assault allegedly perpetrated by her fiancé, Jesús Castro Gómez.
The assault occurred just hours after he had proposed to her. Paola was reportedly thrown to the ground and kicked, resulting in fractured ribs and a broken nasal septum.
She was taken to a hospital in León, Guanajuato, where she currently resides. Her friend and fellow influencer, Wendy Guevara, revealed the incident on social media.
Guevara shared that Suarez was unable to speak due to the pain and would require surgery. There were also concerns that Suarez might lose an eye due to a severe corneal injury.
Following the assault, Suarez filed a complaint with the Public Ministry. In a brief Instagram live session, she expressed her shock and disbelief at the incident, stating, “I never thought you would go this far, and just a day before, you had proposed to me.”
Castro Gómez has since presented himself to the authorities in Guanajuato to give his statement. He has denied all accusations and expressed fear for his life.
