She is the former co-anchor of CNN This Morning who also served as the network’s Chief White House Correspondent from Januar 2021 until November 2022.
Collins has been hosting The Source at 9 p.m. since July 2023. The reporter says she believes in non-partisan, neutral politics and that since the political scene in the U.S. is only about Democrats and Republicans, she considers herself apolitical.

Kaitlan Collins Laughs At GOP Lawmaker’s Reason For Not Endorsing Nikki Haley
Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) had CNN’s Kaitlan Collins laughing on Monday with his reason for not endorsing Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley.
Collins asked Roy who he’d now back to become the GOP nominee in the 2024 election after his preferred candidate, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, bailed on the race amid sagging poll numbers.
Roy initially swerved Collins’ question on preferring Haley or former President Donald Trump to take on President Joe Biden in November.
He said that he doesn’t think that Governor Haley is representing the conservatives that he represented when she’s going on SNL.
The reporter then interrupts and asks if he is not endorsing Governor Haley because she went on Saturday Night Live.
Chip then appeared to partially roll back his claim about it and said she was saddling up with establishment money out of New York that she was using to target Ron DeSantis to the tune of $26 million in Iowa.
Collins reminded Roy how Trump had also “spent a lot of money” against DeSantis too.
Later, Haley made a surprise appearance on SNL last weekend as a “concerned South Carolina voter” who asked fake Trump, played by James Austin Johnson, why he wouldn’t debate Haley.
