The cause of Selena’s death was determined to be a gunshot wound to her back. Recognizing the media frenzy, an autopsy was swiftly conducted on the day of her untimely passing.

It was discovered that the bullet pierced Selena’s upper right back by her shoulder blade, traversed her chest cavity, severed the right subclavian artery, and exited her right upper chest.

The official cause of death for Selena was documented as “exsanguinating internal and external hemorrhage due to perforating gunshot wound,” leading to “massive bleeding.”

During the internal examination, it was discovered that Selena had not consumed any drugs, nor was she pregnant, dispelling rumors that circulated following her death.

Reports indicate that medical professionals made extensive efforts to revive the “Selena y los Dinos” singer for nearly an hour before declaring her deceased.

Before her transportation to the Corpus Christi hospital, a paramedic rendered first aid to her in the hotel lobby, where Yolanda Saldívar had contacted her to handle particular matters.

After her death, Selena remains the enduring Queen of Tejano Music, despite her brief stint in the spotlight.
